>>This one was another turd from the fertile waters of eBay...The shell was buffed to brass (rather scratched to brass) and then in a moment of royal stupidity,  was painted black...brilliant!  Enter my friend and master artisan Adrian Kirchler who restored the shell without re-touching/re-etching the original engraving...go to AK Drums.com and look under restorations and you'll see the before and after on this shell and 2 more that he did for me.  The Artgold hardware also had globs of stupidly applied clear lacquer, so I stripped everything down to the original copper plating and gold lacquered it myself...another vintage drum brought back to life...I've only seen or heard of 2-3 of these 6.5x14 12 pt. floral BBs, this one filled a gap in my collection and was therefore worth putting in the time, effort and money.<<
