The restoration/cleaning of this mysterious ebay find has been done by Mr. GOTTARDO PAGANIN himself.

 

Mr Paganin won this drum on ebay ... it was covered with a marble finished adhesive foil and it had traces of silver/grey lacquer on most of the hardware and red lacquer all over the shell. Step by step, while bringing the drum back to its original condition, Mr. Paganin brought to light the beautiful Black Elite engraving!

The restoration has then been completed with some AK reproduction parts (Speedway strainer, t-rods, washers,...)
