1920s 4x14 Leedy Black Elite Multi-Model
This drum was a mess so I stripped the old lacquer from the shell and had it re-lacquered. The lugs, strainer, butt plate and tension rods had some tarnish but I was able to clean them up with polishing and a shot of gold lacquer, the rims were another story (pain in the ass) as they are steel and we all know what happens after a while on steel parts. I could never get the rims to match so I sent them to Adrian in Italy and he got the closest but they were still off so I sprayed them again (on top of Adrians lacquering) with gold lacquer and this time the combination of AK and MC came pretty close.
